The
Queensland State Government has provided $2M to
the Major Sports Facilities Authority to build a
new 8-court International Beach Volleyball facility
at the Queensland Sports & Athletics Centre,
previously known as QE2 or ANZ stadium, the former
home of the Brisbane Broncos.
"The Beach @ QSAC", otherwise known simply
as "The Beach", has seen the development
of up to 8 Olympic size courts, with kiosk/canteen
and all essential modern amenities.

"The Beach" is the training facility for
the Queensland Academy of Sport Beach Volleyball
program. Queensland best junior and senior players
will make "The Beach" home and train alongside
such International players as Triple Olympian and
dual Olympic Medalist Natalie Cook and her partner
Olympian Nicole Sanderson.
